WOMEN'S GOLF DAY

About the Event

Our Women's Golf Day is about inviting beginners to our woman-friendly environment and welcoming you to the game of golf. Firstly, we have our LPGA female golf professional, with 27 years of coaching experience, leading the program. Secondly, Arbutus Ridge has a history of one of the largest Ladies Night's traditions on the island where each night we raise funds for a local charity. Our WGD will be raising funds for Somenos Transition House in Duncan.

So you are in for some solid learning, FUN, raising funds for a good cause and a world class dining experience at the Satellite Bar & Grille. We really look forward to hosting you, so bring your gal pals, i.e. #inviteHer and let's PLAY.

4 - 4:30 PM | REGISTRATION & SHOP
Arrive early and check out the newest in active wear for on and off the golf course. It is all about our Women's Golf Day participants! In celebration of that, enjoy 20% off all woman's clothing lines... LIJA, Adidas, Nivo, Cutter & Buck and more!

4:30 - 5:30 PM | CLINIC: FUNDAMENTALS OF GOLF
Your GBC Academy Instructors will be leading you through two 30 minute sessions: 1/ Full Swing (Practice Range) and 2/ Short Game (Putting Green), along with providing some tips on social etiquette and the variety of options to participate at your local golf course.

5:30 - 7 PM | 5-HOLE GAME
Join your professional GBC Academy Instructors for a 5-hole on-course FUN team game! Our Golf Pros will be there to support on basic rules, etiquette and tactics that honour your strengths while managing the golf course layout. This is a great opportunity to check out Arbutus Ridge's FAST FIVE, our short loop playing option for time restricted golfers and/or beginners.

7 - 8:30 PM | 19th HOLE SOCIAL
Did you know that the 19th hole is often the favourite amongst golfers? It means the restaurant/bar at a golf course where people go to have drinks and talk after they have finished playing, lol!. So, it is time to kick back and enjoy some good chats with your gal pals along with a delicious meal and drinks. We will pre-order off our Golf & Dinner Menu, so when we arrive after golf it will be ready for us!

Choices include: Seasonal Pasta (Our seasonal pasta dish), Wild Sockeye Salmon (Pan seared Oceanwise sockeye with celeriac puree, new potatoes, blistered tomato, garlic Romanesco & sauce vierge), Pork Schnitzel(Giant crispy fried Heritage Farms schnitzel. Served with lemon caper brown butter, German potato salad & garlic Romanesco) and Steak Frites(8oz Striploin with arugula salad & fries. Choice of roasted garlic blue cheese, classic peppercorn sauce or herb butter).
