A native of South Florida, Aaron grew up playing many of South Floridaâs finest courses as he competed in one of the most competitive junior programs in the country. His golf career began during high school and continued during his studies at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. Aaron worked under experienced teachers and players during his professional development eventually arriving as the lead instructor at the world famous Concord Resort in New York following in the footsteps of legends like Jimmy Demaret, Jack Burke, Jr., and Ed Furgol. He competed professionally in the Metropolitan PGA Section winning the âSpeakers Cupâ at Whippoorwill Country Club and placing in the Top Ten at other Met PGA events. Aaron has given thousands of lessons over his career to every type of player using all of the latest technologies. He is well read and educated on all swing philosophies and methods, but keeps things very simple and fun for his students.
His early playing career included the low round in a victory against a team led by Jack Nicklausâ youngest son, Mike. During his studies at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, he quickly realized that golf would be his life-long passion. His career as a teaching professional began in Palm Beach County in 1995 at Binkâs Forest Country Club, a former PGA Tour stop in Wellington, Florida. The job at Binkâs Forest led to a job at the World Famous Concord Resort in the Catskills of New York. He didn't know much about the history of the resort, but was excited to join the Metropolitan Section of the PGA (Met PGA), considered to be the most prestigious PGA Section in the United States. When he arrived in New York, not only was he working in the Met PGA, but he was actually living in the same apartment as the 3 time Masters winner Jimmy Demaret. Turns out that Jimmy Demaret was the first Director of Golf at the Concord Resort and the club even played host to an episode of "Shells Wonderful World of Golf", which Jimmy hosted at the time. Aaron started as one of 8 assistant professionals at The Concord and within a year had achieved Assistant Golf Director. Aaron is a big fan of the âold-timersâ who paved the way for the success of the game. As he dug further into the old resortâs archives, he encountered photos of the Ryder Cup team, Jack Burke, Jr. , Gene Sarazen, Sam Snead, US Open winners Tommy Bolt and Ed Furgol. Aaron felt privileged to be walking the same hallways and fairways frequented by such legends of the game.
As Aaron began to develop a reputation at the Concord, he was chosen by the Sullivan County Community College to lead their golf instruction program and was featured in 1999 as the New York Post's "Lesson of the Week". He also served as the golf professional of New York State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver.
