Growing up on the island of Maui, Chris has always spent his time playing sports. Falling in love with the game of golf at a young age, Chris immersed himself in as many junior events as possible. His amateur golf experience includes junior tournaments across the Hawaii and the West Coast, contributed to H.P. Baldwin High Schools first HHSAA State Golf Championship title, and played collegiately for University of Hawaii Hilo.

Armanini first turned Pro in 2012 when he worked as an apprentice at the Wailea Blue Golf Course before moving to Kapalua Bay Course in September 2015. After receiving his PGA Class A membership in December 2016, Chris started instructing at the Kapalua Golf Academy in April of 2017 and quickly made a significant impact becoming a top producer at the academy. The Academy was awarded the 2018 Rock Star Award, recognized for its performance among all Troon Golf Academies Nation Wide and at the end of 2019, Chris was awarded the Aloha Section PGA Junior Development Leader. In January 2020, Chris was presented with an opportunity to grow as a golf instructor and head the instructional program at the Kaanapali Golf Courses, while servicing golfers island wide by providing lesson access at Maui Nui Golf Club. After losing access to in-person lessons due to County Restrictions during the Covid-19 Pandemic forced Chris get creative to continue coaching and birthed Online Golf Lessons that can be done across the world, at the comfort of your local course, backyard or living room.

Chris Armanini is Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) certified and believes that there is more than one way to swing the golf club. There is one efficient way for each golfer to swing a golf club, and that is based on what they can physically do. Golfers with limitations in basic fundamental movement patterns will tend to have corresponding limitations in their golf swing and with the knowledge of the body-swing connection, Chris is able to recognize what the athlete can and cannot do in their swing and work around their limitations. He also believes in the importance of physical fitness, and if done correctly (tailored to the golfer's needs) has huge benefits for the golfer. Not only has Chris obtained the highest certification for TPI Golf but is also TPI Junior Development Level 2 certified, a program that is focused on developing junior golfers into athletes first, golfers second to give the junior the best chance of meeting their athletic potential as they mature, as each programed practice is based on the developmental age of the junior.

Being brought up immersed in Hawaii and it's local culture, I am looking forward to helping visitors and Kama'aina alike. "Coaching golf is my passion, and it makes me so happy to help other golfers learn and grow in the sport. I am very appreciative for the Golf Professional's who've helped me along my amateur and professional golf career, and recognize that it is now my turn to help the Maui Golf Community to the best of my ability, and look forward to making it better than I had it." - Chris Armanini, PGA
